Welcome! ๐
Welcome to my blog! My name is Lennart van Tuijl, and this is my blog about irrationality. I started blogging because I find many topics fascinating, and writing helps me better absorb what I learn and focus on one subject at a time. It also allows me to organize my thoughts and beliefs and gives others a chance to respond. Feedback, suggestions, and comments are always welcome, as everyone can contribute to the conversation on my blog.
My blog mainly covers science, philosophy, and critical thinking. I've always been fascinated by questions of origin, like where the universe, Earth, and we ourselves come from, and whether and how we can know these things. This interest has led me to explore fields like cosmology, geology, biology, anthropology, and other sciences that address these questions. I also believe it's important to investigate the limits of our knowledge, whether thereโs more to reality than what we can observe, how we should reason, and how we should live. These questions are explored within philosophical disciplines such as epistemology, metaphysics, logic, and ethics.
Due to my Christian upbringing, Iโve also encountered the conflict between science and religion, as well as the tension between religion and rational thought, which has sparked my interest in the phenomenon of irrationality more broadly, as well as in critical thinking. As a result, many of my posts will focus on debunking irrational beliefs such as religion, pseudoscience, conspiracy theories, and more. Finally, I also have an interest in technology, politics, and other topics, though I will write about these less frequently.

I would rather have questions that can't be answered than answers that can't be questioned.
